Dropbox - Online Portal

irst, make sure you can log in to Dropbox by signing in using your Splash email account. Do not use a personal email to create a Splash Dropbox account.

When you login to Dropbox you will be on your home page. This home page simply shows you suggested files and the recent files you have viewed. In most cases you’ll want to navigate to your Files, as outlined below.

  • To access folder and files simply click the ‘Files’ link in the sidebar on the left side of your screen.

Overview of the files page

The ‘Files’ page overview:

  • Team folders - these are the team folders you are a part of

  • Everything else - all of folders and files that are not a team folder or a part of a team folder

  • Search bar - feel free to search the name of a file or folder, this is a global search

Managing contents in the online portal

Managing Content:

The quick actions on the right side of your screen, which are always available except when viewing a document, allow you to manage files and folders throughout the Dropbox Online portal.

When you use these content tools please know that the action you select will occur in the space within Dropbox that you are currently in. As an example, if I am in the 00 Splash Team Folder and I click ‘New Folder’ that new folder will be created within the 00 Splash Team Folder. Furthermore, since I created a folder within a team folder, everyone that has access to the team folder will also have access to the folder I create within that team folder.
